Svalbard

Of the 5 external territories and dependencies of Norway, only Svalbard is inhabited and has Street View coverage (the others being Jan Mayen, Queen Maud Land, Peter I Island, and Bouvet Island). Svalbard is administered outside of the fylker system, as it has a special status granted by the Svalbard Treaty.

License Plates

Norwegian license plates feature a blue band on the left side of the plate with the Norwegian flag and the country code N, in a design very similar to that of EU countries. Most plates are white with black text: NAB 1234, but commercial plates with a green background are also often seen: NAB 1234.
